The Senior Education Director Develops and delivers technical training/orientation courses and education materials for contract Recovery Partner personnel and MTF employees involved in donor screening, evaluation, aseptic tissue recovery, and professional and public education. Provides technical and quality improvement support through ongoing monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators/metrics communication to MTF Recovery Members and Affiliates to ensure that all tissue recovery and donor screening practices comply with current MTF policies and procedures, applicable AATB Standards, U.S. governmental regulations, and when applicable, international regulatory and governmental standards and regulations. Functions as the lead Technical and Education Services/Donor Services subject matter expert and resource for interdepartmental projects, segment team assignments, new tissue recovery procedures, New MTF Technical Manual policy creation and current policy revision, new Recovery Partner start-ups, mentoring and co-travel with new Education Directors and serving as a TES resource for new Regional Directors and other MTF staff as required. Performs periodic reviews and full audits of Recovery Partners to assure they are following current MTF policies and procedures or approved variances to those policies and procedures and in compliance with the requirements of AATB Standards and federal requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develops and delivers technical training/orientation courses and educational materials for contract Recovery Partner personnel and MTF employees involved in donor screening, evaluation, authorization, all aspects of tissue recovery procedures and surgical applications of allografts ..
- Ensures that all educational materials and programs reflect current MTF policies and procedures, applicable MTB Standards U.S. government regulations, and when applicable international standards and requirements.
- Monitors, analyzes and regularly reports key quality indicators/performance metrics for Recovery Partners to assist with their quality improvement processes.
- Focuses work to ensure that Recovery Partners maintain best practice levels for all key performance indicators/metrics to provide tissues recovered in the correct configuration, with minimal surgical recovery errors and with minimal bioburden contamination.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Recovery Partners to support their subject matter expertise credibility and to represent MTF in a positive and professional manner.
- Maintains current updated knowledge of all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements (relating to HCT/Ps), tissue recovery procedures, MTF policies and procedures, industry environment, and an understanding of the clinical applications of MTF's existing and new allografts.
- Performs periodic reviews and full audits of MTF Recovery Partners to confirm they are following MTF's current policies and procedures and meet all federal and industry standards and requirements to maintain MTF's compliance with MTB Standards.
- Assesses deviations in recovery procedures and assists in determining corrective actions as needed and provides the necessary training/materials/support to prevent recurrence.
- Assures timely and accurate communication of all issues/information between MTF and Recovery Partners and within MTF departments according to service delivery standards.
- Creates new recovery policies and procedures and revises current ones for the MTF Technical Manual under the direction of the Director of Technical and Education Services.
- Functions as the TES lead for coordinates all TES activities and responsibilities in the initiation and start-up of new Recovery Partners as directed by the Director of Technical and Education Services and the VP Procurement,
- Donor Services.
- Functions as the lead TES subject matter expert for interdepartmental projects, studies, and segment team participation.
- Provides mentoring and co-travel with new Education Directors and serves as a TES resource for new Regional Directors and other MTF staff as required
- Provides support to the Vice President Procurement, Donor Services in management of the Medical Board of Trustees.
- Performs additional duties based on their subject matter expertise as assigned by the Director of Technical and Education Services and DSD Senior Management to represent DSD.
- Bachelors Degree in Biology, nursing, physician's assist or other relevant area of study, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 4 years Human tissue banking (screening, donor evaluation and tissue recovery)
- Proficient in all aspects of aseptic musculoskeletal/dermal tissue recovery and donor evaluation. Knowledgeable of cGTPs, federal regulations and industry standards with respect to HCT/Ps. Ability to develop education objectives, lesson plans and teaching tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and dynamic presentation skills required. Familiar with the performance of quality auditing practices as they relate to HCT/Ps.
- PC Literacy with experience in MS Office Suite applications.
- Experienced with virtual platforms for the delivery of educational content.
