Data Architect (Mid-Level)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Data Architect with a background in data science and a strong ability to parse and understand data. In this role, you will design and develop solutions for complex data sets, lead the development of enterprise data architectures, and ensure data quality and governance. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to support enterprise business strategies through effective data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture Design: Lead the design of high-level conceptual and logical data models to provide a cross-system and cross-functional view of data requirements.
• Enterprise Data Strategies: Develop and implement data architecture strategies and solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Metadata Governance: Establish and oversee processes for identifying, collecting, and maintaining corporate metadata, ensuring accuracy, validity, and quality.
• Database Development: Design and build both relational and non-relational databases to support data-driven applications and solutions.
• Business Translation: Translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable long-term architecture solutions.
• Data Science Integration: Apply data science techniques to parse, analyze, and extract meaningful insights from data.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to system and local work groups, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Data Management: Review object and data models, as well as metadata repositories, to optimize data structuring for improved management and accessibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with designing and implementing data architecture solutions.
• Strong background in data science with the ability to parse, analyze, and interpret data.
• Proficiency in relational and non-relational database technologies.
• Familiarity with metadata management, governance practices, and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex data challenges.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with big data platforms and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, or Azure).
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance tools and methodologies.
• Certifications in relevant fields such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Data Science.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year
