About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain moderately complex databases in support of mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Oracle utilities, troubleshooting and administration, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) management. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating database code, functions, and queries while ensuring database security and performance.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to gain hands-on experience in database administration and management systems within a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain moderately complex databases.
- Maintain database dictionaries and ensure integration of systems through effective database design.
- Administer and test computer databases using database management systems expertise.
- Develop, execute, and evaluate database code, functions, and queries on the Oracle database platform.
- Utilize Oracle utilities for database troubleshooting, optimization, and administration.
- Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and performance improvements.
- Coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
- Plan and execute changes to computer databases while ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience: 1 year of experience in database administration or a related role.
- Proficiency in Oracle utilities, troubleshooting, and administration.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) management.
- Knowledge of database code development and query optimization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Clearance: Active TS Clearance required.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
