Systems Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Finance Technology
We are seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a leading global investment bank, working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
As part of a growing Reliability & Production Engineering (RPE) function, you’ll play a key role in enhancing system availability, observability, scalability, and resilience. Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with engineering/development teams to design, build, and maintain systems
- Troubleshooting issues across the entire technology stack: hardware, software, application, and network.
- Identifying and driving opportunities to improve automation for our platforms; scope and create automation for deployment, management, and visibility of the services.
- Proactively identifying and addressing systems reliability risks
- Working alongside existing global and regional team members.
- Represent the RPE organization in design reviews and operational readiness exercises for new and existing services.
Skills & Experience:
- 0-3 years of experience in systems reliability, DevOps, or software engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with automation/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, GitHub).
- Understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-moving, global team environment.
