We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee our parts department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, sourcing parts, and ensuring that our operations run smoothly. The Parts Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of parts, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage the procurement and inventory of parts, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing and terms on OEM and aftermarket parts.
- Oversee logistics related to the sourcing and delivery of parts, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
- Collaborate with service departments to forecast demand planning for necessary parts.
- Implement effective sourcing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Fabricate or modify parts when necessary to meet specific operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and inventory levels in the dealership's management system.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Parts Manager role or similar position within the automotive or HVAC industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
- Knowledge of procurement management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with logistics processes related to parts distribution.
- Experience with demand planning and inventory control systems.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and suppliers.
