Job Title: Group Home Assistant Manager
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Manages/oversees day-to-day group home operations.*
2. Administers medications.*
3. Provides Personal Care.*
4. Assist in supervising staff and monitoring their performance.*
5. Logs residents' interactions throughout shift.*
6. Provide training and guidance to new staff members.*
7. Assist in the implementation of educational, recreational, and therapeutic programs.
8. Attends weekly Manager's meeting/contribute to staff monthly agenda.*
9. Trains new staff.*
10. Ensure the home is kept clean, safe, and welcoming.
11. Represent the home at meetings, conferences, or events as necessary.*
12. Transports residents to their appointments.*
13. Assist in de-escalating challenging behaviors or situations among youth.
14. Act as a point of contact for families, answering questions or providing updates about their child’s progress.
15. 24/7 emergency on-call availability.*
16. Promotes a health, safe, and secure environment for residents and Staff.*
17. Help implement and enforce policies regarding behavior, safety, and treatment.
18. Support the manager in maintaining compliance with regulations and internal protocols.
19. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises five-ten employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word.
Education/Experience:
Associates degree; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
· Certificate as child and youth care worker.
· Completion of traineeship program.
· CPR and First Aid.
· Fire Safety and Evacuation.
· Medication Management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
· Professionalism.
· Time management.
· Oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to maintain a calm demeanor at all times.
