Senior Tax Manager
Our client is a top-ranked Investment Advisory firm (Financial Times, Barron’s, Financial Advisor) and they are looking to add a Senior Tax Manager to the team. The firm is based in the Pacific Northwest, has $25B AUM, and 18 offices. The Senior Tax Manager will serve their existing client base.
Working on-site in McLean with work from home flexibility.
Base: $175K - $200K, plus bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Assume full responsibility to prepare, review and sign on all types of returns (individuals, corps, partnerships and/or trusts & estates).
- Responding appropriately to notices from state and federal agencies as needed.
- Offering consultation on various transactions and advising on all tax-related issues, strategy and planning.
- Work directly with clients on their tax plan and develop a long-standing relationship as their Tax Advisor.
- Minimizing tax liability and enhancing after-tax income, while ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, municipal, and foreign tax regulations.
- Lead tax client service team for compliance and tax planning.
- Assuming significant client responsibilities as a trusted advisor, leveraging industry expertise to identify client challenges and disputes.
- Engaging in complex planning and structuring of transactions.
- Manage multiple Estate, Gift and Fiduciary client tax engagements simultaneously
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
- Prior experience with high net worth individuals
- Experience in complex estate (Form 706), gift (Form 709), and fiduciary (Form 1041) income tax returns, including related tax schedules, forms and fiduciary accounting documents is an added benefit.
- Ability to identify and propose solutions for complex income tax challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- CPA required – public accounting experience
