Role and Responsibilities of a Desktop Support Technician
The candidate would be responsible for providing excellent end user support in resolving technical issues in a multi-establishment and fast-paced environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with management, staff, and vendors.
- Monitor and respond promptly to IT helpdesk requests via phone and email.
- Provide technical support for systems, software, hardware, printers, scanners, peripheral devices, and VoIP phones.
- Support Microsoft Office, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, and DMS (Dealership Management Systems).
- Document and follow internal procedures and maintain computer system performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, guiding users through solutions.
- Escalate recurring or critical problems to tier-2 support.
- Resolve network-related issues (LAN, WAN, and other systems).
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Combination of education and work experience equivalent and /or at least 2 years’ experience working in a Help Desk/ User support environment or training that provided the technical knowledge and skills needed for user support.
