Moriroku Technology North America Inc. in Anderson, IN is searching for an Assistant Manager to oversee the Assembly and Injection departments. The ideal candidate will ensure safety, quality, positive work environment, customer requirements, and manufacturing needs are met in the departments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Injection and Assembly departments to ensure all safety, quality, production, and customer requirements are being met
- Oversee production operations and champion all initiatives to identify process opportunities, bottlenecks, and improvement efforts. Manage manpower aligning with budget and customer demand. Manage applicable equipment. as well identifying and championing any efforts to improve process performance to achieve established goals.
- Plan and establish workflow schedules to ensure effective utilization of resources
- Analyze production processes/procedures to identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives to address deficiencies, any costs/overtime because of deficiencies and to optimize output, improve workflows, streamline process, or otherwise improve overall culture
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to team leaders; mentor team leaders with the goal of increasing their knowledge and improving their leadership skills and abilities
- Responsible for reporting and communicating production performance associated with all KPI’s to management on daily basis
- Must attend production and management meetings daily/weekly/monthly and effectively report on department status and communicate successes and pitfalls
- Directly manages all customer concerns applicable to areas of responsibility and related to quality and delivery daily through quick resolution and effective countermeasures.
- Effectively communicate with support departments (Safety, IT, Quality, HR, Maintenance, etc.) to facilitate coordination and cooperation across all areas of support. Communicate all solutions through change point control process and confirm countermeasures through measurable and physical confirmation.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Must have three years of previous experience in similar role in manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive and/or plastic injection
- Must be quality orientated with strong attention to detail
- Must be self-motivated and have a keen sense of urgency and accountability
- Demonstrated ability of continuous improvement and/or lean concepts with examples of sustained improvements and/or cost reductions
- Strong analytical ability for identifying problems and executing solutions
- Knowledge of importance of Inventory management, Quality Processes, Safety/OSHA regulations, HR/Legal requirements, Employee Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, and impact of these aspects to business
- Demonstrated Leadership skills with proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate others
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Must have strong organization skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, advance spreadsheet tools, and manufacturing-control software applications required
- Core hours for this position is 1st shift with the ability to communicate and work off shifts and production weekends when necessary
