Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to support the day-to-day shipping operations within our automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and loading outbound shipments, ensuring all products are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with customer and internal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package automotive parts for shipment following customer specifications and internal procedures.
- Label pallets, containers, and shipping documents accurately using shipping software or ERP systems.
- Scan and load finished goods onto trucks or trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Perform final inspection of product packaging and ensure proper documentation is included.
- Verify orders against packing lists and bills of lading to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area; follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate with the inventory, production, and logistics teams to coordinate outbound shipments.
- Assist with inventory counts, material movement, and warehouse duties as needed.
- Report damaged goods or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing (preferably in automotive) is a plus.
- Basic computer and data entry skills; familiarity with shipping software and ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification provided).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials.
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Full-time, with potential for overtime based on production needs.
