Position Overview
Seeking a Cleared Python Developer to support mission-critical applications for a 12-month contract in Arlington, VA. The role involves full-stack development, API integration, event-driven architecture, and working with databases and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python/Django applications
- Integrate databases, key-value stores, and APIs
- Develop and maintain RESTful web services
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues
- Support front-end development and integrate user-facing elements
- Work within an agile development environment
- Ensure code quality, security, and documentation standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Strong understanding of MVC, ORM, and RESTful API principles
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based deployment
- Proficiency with version control tools (Git, SVN, Mercurial)
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration
