What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Class A Trainer / Instructor - Immediate Opening position at MTS Training Academy?
Position Summary: MTS Training Academy, Inc. is seeking Class A Trainer/Instructor. Our instructors play a vital role in preparing students to pass both DMV written and Behind-The-Wheel DMV tests.
Key Responsibilities:
Effective and Efficient Instruction: Deliver comprehensive instruction for Class A, Class B Behind-The-Wheel courses, ensuring students are prepared for DMV tests and final drive tests.
Student Success: Equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass both the written and practical components of their licensing exams.
Case Management: Function as a student case manager, monitoring training progress and results. Weekly monitoring and submission of student progress reports into the CRM.
Monitors students by verifying students’ attendance; intervening in crisis; providing student support as needed.
Maintains students’ records by reviewing case notes; logging events and progress.
Communicates students’ progress by conducting weekly meetings and evaluations.
Curriculum Development: Utilize and adapt established curriculum and training materials to meet diverse learning needs.
Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all training adheres to safety standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
Classroom Management: Maintain an organized and supportive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.
Student Retention and Progress: Monitor student retention and track progress, emphasizing post-training activities and job placement results.
Digital Literacy: Proficiency in using computers, tablets, and other digital devices for instructional purposes.
Learning Management Systems (LMS): Ability to navigate and utilize LMS platforms for managing course content, tracking student progress, and facilitating communication.
Online Communication Tools: Competence in using email, video conferencing software, and messaging apps for effective communication with students and staff.
Presentation Software: Skill in creating and delivering engaging presentations using tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides.
Simulators and Training Software: Familiarity with driving simulators and other training software to enhance practical learning experiences.
Data Analysis: Ability to use data management tools to assess student performance and outcomes.
Other duties as assigned can include and is not limited to the following:
Obtain commercial driver’s license
Drive a school transportation vehicle within a prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules; picking up and discharging students and or adults at designated stops
Teach courses when the need arises.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL license for Class A w/ Air Brake endorsement
Strong communication and instructional skills.
Experience in teaching and preparing students for DMV tests.
Commitment to student success and safety.
Performance Metrics:
Maintain your Instructional schedules.
Ensure courses are taught within the 4 week (20 days) expectations.
Maintain the Student Retention Rate of 90% by focusing on your students on your roster.
Ensure to maintain a Student Retention Rate of 90% with your student roster.
Maintain a minimum Passing Rate of 80%. Passing Rate applies to all assessments MTS students must take, including but not limited to the following assessments:
