Job Summary
MTU Maintenance Dallas Inc., a leading aircraft maintenance and repair company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Planner for its Operations Department; the Production Planner will report to the Sr. Production Planner.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for engine repair and maintenance projects to ensure timely completion, compliance with customer requirements, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate with internal departments, such as engineering, procurement, and maintenance teams, to ensure the availability of the necessary resources (personnel, materials, and tools) for scheduled production tasks.
- Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity, monitor team workloads, and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in priorities or unforeseen delays.
- Communication & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between various departments, such as engineering, procurement, quality control, and maintenance teams, to resolve production-related issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve production processes, enhance efficiency, and minimize downtime by implementing best practices and tools.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, materials used, and timelines, and generate regular reports to update management on production status and performance metrics.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to take responsibility and work overtime as required.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent work ethic and motivation for a high standard of work.
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner and reflect a positive image with customers.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Bachelor’s degree in an aviation related discipline preferred
- Three (3) or more years of proven aviation planning experience required; Military Experience is acceptable but the experience must be from an engine (aviation) shop background.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involved pushing, pulling, standing, walking, fine motor manipulation, bending/stooping, etc.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
