FREELANCE VIDEO EDITOR

MTV International is looking for a video shooter/editor to join the team in NYC! This role is ideal for a music-obsessed creator and comes with the opportunity to travel to some amazing locations while working on one-of-a-kind global events such as the MTV EMA. The ideal candidate must have an affinity for music as well as a love of all things trending and deep understanding of content creation for digital and social platforms. This role is hands-on and includes shooting and editing while the majority of the work will be editing.

· Edit/produce video pieces using Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop

· Produce high quality video with a mix of text, graphics, photos, animations, emojis and everything in-between

· Write scripts and gather elements, such as photos, video and music

· Layout and edit vertical stories for animations, long-form editorial, and video content for Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and IGTV

· Work with Supervising Producer to ensure edits are prioritized and staying on schedule

· Optimize video content for social platforms

· Work with social team to come up with and execute ideas that will drive up views, watch-time and engagement

· Write scripts and gather elements, such as photos, video and music

· Research, conceptualize, pitch and create original social video content

· Create high-end sizzles

· Assist in various shoots

· Create cue sheets and work with legal team on rights and clearances

· Conduct quality control on internally produced video content

· Ensure efforts consider localization for our markets and understands how to create templates as well as localize content directly

REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must have at least 2-3 years of experience in digital content development and editing

Experience creating short-form, impactful social video for a major brand

A deep understanding of creating video for digital platforms and story-telling for social platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Snapchat and others

Ability to bring all types of video ideas to fruition

Must have demonstrated experience with vertical video production

Experience in live streaming and event production

The ability to take on assignments/projects and follow through until completion is critical

Can work both independently and as a collaborative team player

Experience in an international environment is desired

Able to speak another European language an advantage

BA required.

Pay: $400.00 per day
