What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Mu-Del Electronics LLC?
Mu-Del Electronics is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The individual must be multi-faceted, highly motivated, able to adapt, a quick learner, and detail oriented. The individual will work closely with the Operations Manager to understand and meet shipment timelines as well as production deadlines. The individual must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Training will be provided. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare items for shipment; package products and ensure items are secure for transit with proper packaging materials
- Affix proper shipping labels and documents to the boxes
- Maintain open communication with shipping carriers; make arrangements for pick-up when necessary
- Receive incoming shipments; examine package quantities and confirm delivery address before signing-off; examine the exterior of the packages and note any damages
- Distribute incoming packages accordingly
- Manage shipping supplies and ensure inventory is available to meet current and future deadlines
Key Qualifications:
- Highschool degree, minimum
- 0 – 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Have basic computer knowledge and skills (Microsoft Word and Outlook)
- Experience with an ERP system is a plus
- Comfortable with performing various tasks and able to multitask
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ESD standards is a plus
- Must be able to manage, track and execute multiple priorities within schedule requirements
- Excellent people, written and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment
Must be able to pass background screening, Green Card holders or US Citizens only.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
