DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Facilitate laboratory information exchange through handling of incoming and outgoing interactions as well as ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation of such interactions.
Provide superior customer service while coordinating and responding to all requests in a courteous and timely manner.
Effectively and efficiently manage incoming calls by responding proactively, thinking critically, acting creatively, and taking independent initiative.
Perform duties consistent with written policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor metrics, problems, complaints, requests, and make recommendations for process improvement or change. Investigate issues, solve routine problems, and raise proper concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
One (1) year of medical laboratory experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Customer service experience.
Medical Technologist (MT) certification by the American Medical Technologists. Medical Lab Technician (MLT) certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathologists.
