Reports to: Farms Manager

Based at: MIMI Farms Inc., Huron, OH

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Monitor plants to prevent diseases, weeds and insects
• Pruning, clipping, lowering, suckering and transferring of plants
• Maintain equipment such as scissor lifts, lift trucks, bailer, tarp cleaner, sprayers and disinfector
• Inspect the quality of tomatoes and pack them to prepare them for shipment
• Clean and maintain the greenhouse and any complete any other formwork related tasks as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Job Knowledge, Abilities and Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must show proof of legal authority to work in U.S.
• MIMI is a Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone
• Must have 3 months of Greenhouse tomato harvesting experience
• No minimum level of education required

Physical Abilities:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, unload or carry objects up to 60lbs; may also require climbing, balancing, sitting, stooping, bending, squatting, washing, and cleaning of the grounds and area

Additional Job Information:

• Applicants must be willing and qualified to perform the described work and must be available for the entire period specified 09/01/2022- 06/30/2023
• $18.18/ hr
• Possible daily/weekly hours: Subject to the start times of the area you will be working in ranging from 6-8 am and you could also be subject to afternoons if in the Packhouse which would be 4-5 pm - 2-4 am, it is dependent on where you will be placed and time of year.
• 40 and includes lunch break Monday – Friday
• Possible weekend/holiday work
• Variable weather conditions may apply
• Employer will comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws
• Employer tools/equipment/supplies will be used/maintained at no cost/deposit

Job Requirements: Strict adherence time fences and system compliance is an absolute must in this role. The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example. A positive attitude in the workplace is required as is the ability to adhere to all human resources, operational and food and health safety policies and procedures.
