WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
• Practice, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort (MCR).
• Exercise management responsibility for all activities of the Revenue Audit & Imaging Departments.
• Supervises and trains staff in the collection, organizing, auditing, reconciliation, and analyzing of daily financial documentation generated by the casino.
• Assist, monitor, and review daily audits, currency collection and accurate reporting of currency, tickets and chips collected.
• Revise and/or drafts Department Procedures to meet or exceed the Tribal Internal Control Standards, to improve the efficiency of the control and/or add a control requested by management.
• Perform account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, clear reconciling items and resolve issues.
• Review and analyze audit paperwork and reports; develop and implement recommendations for improved efficiency.
• Recommend modifications and updates to current accounting procedures that will enhance and support the daily audit procedures of casino accounting operations.
• Develop and implement system for general accounting and audit preparation of worksheets to include analyzing audit spreadsheet enhancement to reflect the daily operations activity more effectively for purposes of reporting Casino revenue.
• Prepare monthly and special reports upon request by casino management and other departments including performing summaries, analysis, and reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end procedures for casino operations including reviewing reconciled revenue reports, verifying accuracy of the revenue system, and preparing reports.
• Assist with working closely with department heads and compliance management to resolve issues/variances.
• Ensure system and record compliance within approved policies and internal control procedures, generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP) and gaming commission regulations.
• Coordinate the design, implementation, and monitoring of the manual and computerized revenue audit reporting systems.
• Facilitate the flow of the information by organizing and directing regularly scheduled meetings with direct and indirect reports.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels by coordinating the interviews, hiring, training, evaluations, and promotions. Also includes review of all corrective action and terminations, as needed.
• Keep current with all regulatory requirements, consulting with management on new or revised rules.
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all protected health information in accordance with the Division’s Policies and Procedures, and in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Coordinate with direct reports to ensure coverage of all required duties in the case of absences.
• Define and direct special projects to staff as needed.
• Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and reports issues to appropriate personnel.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in accounting, finance or business administration required.

• Five (5) years progressive casino accounting and audit experience, including revenue audit, accounting policies and internal controls preferred.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Availability – Ability to work 40 hours per week, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
• Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
• Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
