WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
2. Practice, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
3. Oversee all aspects of the dining room operations, including seating arrangements, table settings, guest flow, pre-shifts, menus, and cleanliness.
4. Manage, lead, and mentor the Assistant Manager, Sommelier, and dining room staff including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers. This can include providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
5. Creates and implements training, inspiring managers to teach, mentor, and proactively coach staff so that they develop their skills and talents, preparing them to be successful in their current role as well as the next step in their careers.
6. Coordinate with the Chef or kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food delivery.
7. Monitor dining room traffic flow and make necessary adjustments to optimize guest seating and minimize wait times.
8. Perform management functions such as interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and providing feedback to supervisors and staff; rewarding or disciplining staff; terminations; providing overall direction and guidance for the restaurant and/or concession outlet.
9. Ensure adequate staffing levels, scheduling, assigning stations, and recording attendance.
10. Promote positive guest relations; handles complaints and suggestions in a timely manner.
11. Monitor food quality and food service procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
12. Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, standards, and regulations.
13. Encourage the development of teamwork and effective communication between all Food and Beverage personnel.
14. Promote training opportunities within the restaurant to provide well-trained team members at all levels.
15. Advise and brief Food and Beverage Operations Managers on the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
16. Provide input and resolution concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention to maintain the highest level of operation.
17. Maintain assigned team member files, including Health and Liquor certification issues.
18. Inform supervised team members of special events, promotions, and entertainment schedules.
19. Promotes and ensures a safe working environment for team members.
20. Lead by example in all areas including punctuality, appearance, work quality, etc.
21. Create, maintains, and facilitate a positive work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
22. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• Ability to obtain a Class III A gaming license.
• AA degree in Food and Beverage Management, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• 5 (five) years of hospitality industry experience, with a minimum of 4 (four) years’ experience managing/supervising a restaurant and/or concession outlet required.
• Fine dining experience is required.
• Experience opening new venues is a plus!
• Tribal casino experience is a plus!
• A valid WA State Health Card/Food Permit is required.
• A valid WA State Class 12 Alcohol Service Permit is required.

WHAT TO EXPECT
• Availability – Ability to work 40 hours per week, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
• Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
• Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
