The Food Runner provides fast and courteous service of prepared food to guests and ensures the quality of food presentation per established standards. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of casino policies and procedures, and internal controls and standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Exemplifies MCR’s values and sets a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
- Practice, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
- Assemble food orders at the expeditor station or assist Chef/Sous Chef with assembling food orders, ensure orders are prepared according to the description on the servers’ ticket.
- Prompt delivery of food from kitchen to guest in a professional manner and in accordance with service standards.
- Assist food servers and bussers by clearing used dishes and refilling beverages.
- Perform side-work, and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensures that wait staff stations and expediting areas are clean and maintained throughout shift.
- Alert management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Communicate any additional requests from guests to the food server immediately.
- Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
- Food service experience preferred.
- Customer service experience and/or training preferred.
- A valid WA State Food Health Card/Food Handlers Permit required.
- A valid WA State Class 12 Alcohol Permit or Class 13 Permit required
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
- Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
- Ability to demonstrate a well-groomed presence and always maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to follow specific instructions, both oral and written. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to provide excellent guest service.
- Ability to work various shifts.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Availability – Ability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
- Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
- Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
