GET TO KNOW THE ROLE
The Lead Host is responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences through effective management of the host/hostess team and seamless coordination of guest seating and reservations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
- Practice, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.

- Ensure guests' requests for specific seating or special arrangements are accommodated whenever possible.
- Maintain a waiting list during peak hours and communicate wait times to guests.
- Confirm reservations and call guests to reconfirm their bookings as needed.
- Work with the restaurant manager to optimize table reservations and manage walk-in guests.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus. Ensure tables are properly set up with clean tableware and appropriate settings.
- Ensure that the restaurant floor plan is organized for optimal seating and efficient service.
- Coordinate with servers to maintain a smooth flow of guests to their assigned tables.
- Adjust seating arrangements as necessary to accommodate varying party sizes and special requests.
- Communicate with the waitstaff to ensure a balanced and organized seating plan. Ensure that the restaurant's occupancy is optimized.
- Maintain a waitlist and accurately estimate wait times for guests. Keep guests informed about their table availability.
- Maintain accurate reservation records and seating charts. Ensure that the restaurant's reservation system is up to date.
- Keep the restaurant's entryway and lobby area clean and well-organized. Ensure the comfort and convenience of waiting guests.
- Promote special offers, wine selections, and other promotions to guests during the seating process.
- Provide information about the menu, daily specials, and answer any questions guests may have. Assist guests with special requests or accommodations, such as dietary restrictions.
- Keep the management informed of any issues or concerns related to guest service
- Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and resolve them to the best of your ability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Lead by example in all areas including punctuality, appearance, work quality, etc.
- Create, maintains, and facilitate a positive work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to the appropriate personnel.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
- 2 (two) year of previous experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant environment required.
- 1 (one) years of supervisor proffered.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and resolve guest issues calmly and professionally.
- Proficiency in reservation systems and basic cash-handling skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant layout and floor plan organization.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have or be able to obtain WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit (required).
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class 12 Alcohol Permit (required).

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Availability – Ability to work 40 hours per week, holidays, weekends, and nights.
- Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push, or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
- Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
