What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Bather position at Muddy Marley’s Dog Wash?
We are seeking candidates with professional animal experience to join our team. Responsibilities encompass:
- Client interaction, both in person and over the phone via call or text, while demonstrating excellent customer service
- Scheduling appointments both in person and over the phone-computer literacy is required
- Sales, including learning about the products and services we offer to be able to appropriately recommend services/addons to customers
- Dog bathing and all other additional/individual services we offer, such as: nail cutting and dremeling, brushing, blow drying, deshedding, ear cleaning, etc.
- Maintaining a high standard of facility cleanliness both throughout and at the end of your scheduled shift
- The ability to lift 50lbs. or more without assistance
- Must be comfortable dealing with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Knowledge of dog body language is important. While we do not repeat service for highly aggressive dogs at our salon, knowledge of how to deal with aggression should it occur, and operating in a composed manner that is calming to the dogs in our care regardless of temperament, is essential
- The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and exhibit strong time management skills. While teamwork is essential, the role also demands individual proficiency. This is a physical as well as a dirty job, you will need to be comfortable standing for long periods of time, getting wet, having hair on you, and cleaning up any messes pets may make while in our care.
