Professional Pet Groomer

Muddy Paws Pet Parlor is family owned and operated by a local mother and daughter team. We are looking to expand our growing business and family. We are looking for an experienced groomer, with a can-do attitude, great work ethic, and a passion for Animals. We provide a wide range of services for a wide range of animals from cats, dogs, goats, Birds, and many other exotic pets. At Muddy Paws Pet Parlor we pride ourselves in maintaining a stress-free, anxiety free, and cruelty free environment for all pets.

Responsibilities:

• Provide grooming services to a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and other small animals

• Perform bathing, brushing, and hair trimming according to client preferences and braid standards

• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process

• Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort and report any concerns to the pet owner or veterinarian

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area at all times

• Assist with other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 2 to 4 years experience in Pet Grooming

• Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements

• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and calmly

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

• Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences

• Patience and compassion towards animals, especially those who may be anxious or fearful during the grooming process
• Passion to help and treat animals
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure

Please Note: Heavy lifting may be required in some cases, especially when handling larger dogs or equipment

Pay is based on experience. We also offer Commission on top of hourly. If you have a grooming portfolio of work you've done in the past we would love it if you could include that or email us directly.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
