Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet, including any special notes regarding their behavior or health.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, products, and techniques to provide the best care for pets.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal handling, dog handling, and animal restraint are essential.
- Knowledge of various breeds' grooming requirements is a plus.
