Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient handling of packages and inventory management within our facility. This position involves sorting, loading, and unloading materials while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Employees process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes and other materials.
The work is very physical, requiring the manual lifting, carrying, and moving/and arranging of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling and twisting.
Employees must be able to lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 50-70 lbs on a regular basis, without assistance.
Employees must be able to load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks while walking on uneven and concrete surfaces.
Workers will primarily be scanning files and placing the scanned files in boxes and gaylords. The worker at times may have to move a full box, but usually the feeder employee handles the boxes.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
