Mueller Coatings, a growing industrial coatings applicator focusing on Defense, Aerospace, Medical and Technologies industries, has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager. The individual will be responsible for identifying and capturing business development opportunities. The Business Development Manager will report to the President and CEO and will interface with all departments within the company, as well as outside marketing services.

Job Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing brand awareness, and expanding market share in cosmetic packaging, aerospace, defense, medical device, sporting goods, and electronics manufacturing industries. This role requires knowledge contract manufacturing. The ideal candidate will lead sales efforts, manage key customer relationships, and oversee marketing strategies to position the company as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute B2B sales strategies for coating services
  • Identify new business opportunities with OEMs and manufacturers.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the industry.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align sales efforts with our capabilities.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and set achievable sales targets.

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including SEO, PPC, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Manage the company’s website, online presence, and content marketing initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows, industry ex pos, and customer events.
  • Work with process development team to ensure the marketing strategy aligns with product roadmaps.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, emerging needs, and product opportunities.
  • Develop marketing collateral, including brochures, whitepapers, case studies, and presentations.
  • Establish partnerships with distributors and resellers to expand market reach.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience in manufacturing or related industries.
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with B2B sales, lead generation, and distributor management.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with international sales, global supply chains, and regulatory compliance (RoHS, ISO 9001, IPC standards, etc.) is a plus.
