Family Household Manager – Greenwich, CT
Work Schedule :
- Typical schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening work during events or projects.
- Available to respond to troubleshooting needs 24 / 7 (rare but possible).
- Household staff operates 7 days a week, including holidays, with team flexibility valued to meet the family’s needs.
Compensation and Benefits :
Salary : $130K–$150K DOEMedical stipend provided.Two weeks of vacation annually (to be coordinated with the family, ideally overlapping with their schedule).Gas and mileage reimbursement for personal car use during errands.Seeking an exceptional Family Household Manager to oversee the smooth operation of a refined household in Greenwich, CT, while supporting its family.
The Family Household Manager will be responsible for general household management, ensuring the home meets the highest standards, addressing the family’s individual needs and preferences, managing household staff and external vendors, and coordinating family events and gatherings. This role requires close collaboration with the principal family to ensure the home is impeccably maintained, daily operations run smoothly, and planning remains proactive to provide a personalized experience for the family.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a team environment, and creates a serene, organized atmosphere in the home. This role reports directly to the principal family.
Responsibilities :
Display a “service-first” mindset with a hands-on, flexible approach—no task is too small or too big.Uphold a professional and confidential demeanor at all times, prioritizing the family’s needs and security.Execute weekly errands, including meal planning and preparation.Source, train, manage, and evaluate household staff; maintain staff schedules and address any absences or tardiness.Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the residence, ensuring meticulous standards for housekeeping, deep cleaning, and upkeep of special surfaces.Step in to perform staff duties as needed.Manage external vendors to ensure high-quality service and serve as the primary point of contact.Coordinate all property management needs, including maintenance, landscaping, and seasonal treatments.Organize and plan family events and guest visits, ensuring seamless execution.Conduct daily property walkthroughs to proactively identify and resolve issues, providing real-time feedback to staff.Assist with administrative duties, including calendar management, travel planning, and vendor invoice review.Care for the family pet, including grooming, vet visits, and walks.Maintain and update household manuals, operations guides, and inventory / shopping lists.Track and manage household budgets and expenses, including medical claim submissions.Requirements :
