The Activities Director manages and assumes administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of a program of therapeutic activities designed to meet the interests and enhance the functional abilities and self-esteem of each resident in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations.
The Activities Director supervises employees in the Activities department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
This position is also responsible for coordinating daily activities programming, designing monthly calendars, overseeing a budget, daily documentation, assessments, care plans and is an active contributor toward maintaining and improving the quality of life for our residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Certified Activities Director certification, preferred.
· Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year of full-time employment in a patient Activities program in a health care setting; or qualified as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant; or satisfactory completion of Activities Director training, preferred.
