Our Food Runner/Expeditor are responsible for taking ownership of the details to deliver a clean, happy, and healthy experience for our team members and guests. The complimentary impression we want to leave on our guests is made possible by paying close attention to the details that bring our vision to life.
As a Food Runner/Expeditor you will:
- Expedite during meal periods to provide best quality and service
- Ensure orders are being prepared with correct priority order
- Organize, pre-rinse, wash, sanitize, dry, and properly store all dishware throughout operations
- maintain a clean and sanitary working environment in the back of house
- while working in the front of house greet every guest with a welcoming and kind approach directing guests to ordering counters for dine-in or carry-out
- assist front of house with pre-bussing and bussing needs to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
- deliver food fresh and at temperature with a clean presentation to guest tables
- refill and restock water stations with shared utensils, glassware, and paper goods
- learn the entire menu and dietary considerations to offer considerate customer service
- clean and sanitize front of house and back of house to ensure proper pacing and service for customers
- complete all opening, shift change and closing procedures thoroughly with attention to detail
- gather FOH and BOH trash before, during and after shift to support with proper waste management
- participate and track on-going training in your role to develop skill, consistency, and performance
- learn and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook, training materials, standard operating procedures, and recipes guidelines
- contribute to an environment where open communication flourishes, feedback is valued, contributions matter, and guests/team members are respected
- keep the restaurant clean, organized, and guest ready
- assist in marketing and promotional events when applicable
- provide exceptional customer service to our BOH, FOH team members, and our guests
- comply with health code standards and cleanliness in accordance with Montgomery County’s Department of Health; ensure proper functionality and maintenance of all equipment
- arrive on time to work with a positive attitude
- other duties as assigned
