Our Dishwasher/Bussers are responsible for taking ownership of the details to deliver a clean, happy, and healthy experience for our team members and guests. Our Prep Cooks are responsible for taking ownership of the details to deliver a clean, happy, and healthy experience for our team members and guests. The complimentary impression we want to leave on our guests is made possible by paying close attention to the details that bring our vision to life.
As a Prep Cook you will:
- set-up, organize and clean the kitchen and back of house facilities to ensure proper operations
- complete opening, shift change and closing procedures thoroughly with attention to detail
- prep ingredients according to recipe and standard operating procedures
- label and store all food, food prep, dry goods, and paper goods appropriately
- prioritize, prepare, cook, and assemble all menu items according to standard operating procedures
- escalate re-makes and errors to ensure proper guest relations and timely service
- work with the Front of House to ensure timeliness and satisfaction of all food service
- fulfill dine-in, carry-out, online orders, catering and third-party delivery food service to standard procedures
- account for daily inventory of prepped ingredients, pre-prepped menu items, dry goods, paper goods, cleaning supplies and back storage to assist with proper organization for FIFO, and back-ordering
- collaborate and advise daily/weekly prep needs and par levels for shift planning according to sales projections in collaboration with the General Manager
- participate and track on-going training in your role to develop skill, consistency, and performance
- learn and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook, training materials, standard operating procedures, and recipes guidelines
- contribute to an environment where open communication flourishes, feedback is valued, contributions matter, and guests/team members are respected
- keep the restaurant clean, organized, and guest ready
- assist in marketing and promotional events when applicable
- support and organize the assembly of online and catering orders as needed
- execute daily operations with third-party delivery partners
- provide exceptional customer service to our BOH, FOH team members, and our guests
- comply with health code standards and cleanliness in accordance with Montgomery County’s Department of Health
- ensure proper functionality and maintenance of all equipment
- arrive on time to work with a positive attitude
- obtain and maintain safe food handler certification
- other duties as assigned
