This is a Full-Time, non-remote position inviting skilled operators to take on the challenge of running a 2 – 3 man crew under various operational conditions. Ideal candidates will bring experience and adeptness in managing precise tasks such as grading, asphalt demolition, and the operation of machinery under guided plans. Our projects are not just about meeting demands but surpassing expectations and laying the groundwork for sustainable and aesthetic environment-enhancements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers and excavators in a safe and efficient manner.
• Lead and manage a 2 – 3 man crew, ensuring cooperation and productivity among team members.
• Execute grading, and asphalt demolition with precision, following exact specifications from plans and directives.
• Utilize lasers and other advanced equipment for precise measurements and outcomes.
• Read and interpret construction plans and operational guides to effectively carry out project tasks.
• Plan project execution steps in advance to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Take initiative in problem-solving and troubleshooting equipment or project setbacks.
• Partake in cross-training on various specialized paving equipment to enhance versatility and job performance.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in routine maintenance checks on all operated equipment to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
• Report to site supervisor regarding project progress, crew performance, and any critical incidences or improvements needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an equipment operator, particularly with skid steers and/or excavators.
• Possession of a 2A Hydraulic License for the operation of hydraulic machinery and equipment.
• Current medical card and valid driver’s license.
• Solid understanding of operational and safety requirements of heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and job specifications.
• Expertise in grading, and asphalt demolition preferred.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of running a small crew efficiently.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to precision in all work tasks.
• Willingness to undergo training and operate diversified paving equipment.
• Self-motivated with a driven mindset to contribute actively to team and company growth.
• Good communication skills for effective crew management and project reporting.
• Physically capable of performing strenuous and labor-intensive tasks as required by the job.
