Job Summary :
As a Contract Hardware Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of project managers, estimators, and detailers, overseeing their daily operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to customer satisfaction. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors, while collaborating with the Executive Vice President to set strategic objectives and drive business growth. Your role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards through regular quality control, managing budgets to control costs, and addressing customer concerns to enhance satisfaction. Additionally, you will stay informed on industry trends, analyze market conditions for opportunities, and prepare detailed reports on project status and operational metrics.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Provides leadership and guidance to the Contract Hardware Team, ensuring clarity in roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
Delegates tasks effectively, considering team members' skills and workload, to achieve operational goals and deadlines.
Conducts regular meetings with team members to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide feedback on performance.
Enforces company policies and procedures consistently, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Assists the Human Resources department with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training qualified team members.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Oversees daily operational activities, including scheduling, task assignment, and resource allocation, to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, meet deadlines, and align with customer expectations.
Builds and nurtures strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors, addressing and resolving any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
Collaborates with the Executive Vice President to set the strategic direction and objectives for the contract hardware division.
Develops and manages budgets for hardware projects and departmental expenses to monitor financial performance, control costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Stays updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements to analyze market conditions and identify opportunities for growth and recommend improvements to the hardware division’s offerings.
Prepares and presents regular reports on project status, team performance, and operational metrics.

Experience in Business Central cERP and EPWS software or industry estimating & detailing software, preferred.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or related field.
At least seven years of experience in the door and hardware industry.
Proven track record of success in project management, operations, and business development required.
Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain required.
AHC certification preferred.
CDT certification is helpful but not required.
PMP certification is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements :
25%-day travel to project site locations and visiting customers, minimal to no overnight stays required.
