Job Summary :
As an Electronic Safety and Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, programming, testing, and repairing electronic systems and devices according to system designs and building plans. Your role includes troubleshooting systems to diagnose issues and performing necessary repairs to ensure proper functionality. You will test systems and components thoroughly to verify correct operation and programming and install cables in various locations such as wire trays, wall cavities, and crawl spaces, terminating them at devices and panels. Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, system specifications, and installation manuals will be essential to your daily tasks. Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation including work orders, completion records, and test forms, and provide demonstrations to customers on system functionality and alarm procedures, projecting a professional customer service image through effective communication and service procedures.

Duties / Responsibilities :
Installs, programs, tests, and repairs electronic systems, devices, and related equipment according to system design and building plans.Troubleshoots systems to diagnose problems and performs necessary repairs to ensure functionality.Conducts comprehensive testing of systems, components, programming, and design features to verify proper operation.Installs cables in wire trays, hooks, hangers, wall cavities, attics, and crawl spaces, terminating at devices and panels.Interprets and adheres to wiring diagrams, system specifications, and installation manuals.Completes all required paperwork and documentation, including work orders, completion records, and test and inspection forms accurately and promptly.Demonstrates installed systems to customers, providing clear guidance on system operation and alarm procedures.Maintains a professional customer service approach through effective service procedures, professional presentation, and clear communication with all customers.Required Skills / Abilities :

Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Physical stamina to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and tools.Physical capability to bend, stoop, kneel, and perform tasks that may require reaching overhead or working in confined spaces.Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for safety reasons.Travel Requirements :
Some day travel to and from job sites is required.Occasional travel, including overnight stays required.
