What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant position at MULLAPUDI MEDICAL LLC?
Responsibilities of this job are as listed but not limited to:
- Signing patients into the clinic
- Managing the flow of patients to see Dr. Mullapudi, get ultrasound testing, or physical therapy with Dr. Perez
- Filling out patient information for billing and doctor's notes
- Scanning, emailing and faxing paperwork
- Checking patient insurance eligibility on Availity
- Processing patient payments through Square
- Answering phone calls with professionalism in a timely matter
- Scheduling appointments
- Obtaining medical records from hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
- Calling pharmacies to verify/authorize medication refills
- Taking patient vital signs
- Being able to efficiently multitask
- Being able to work under pressure
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude when working with patients and other clinical staff
- Restocking and managing supplies as needed
- Cleaning the clinic as needed
- Organizing charts in the storage cabinet
- Assisting patients with medical needs when needed
Required work experience are as listed but not limited to:
- 1 year of customer service
- 1 year of medical office experience
- Knowledge in medical terminology
- Knowledge with computers, Google Docs, Excel
