Responsibilities
- Client communication.
- Review of varying levels of scopes of work including formally advertised (written), verbally communicated, jurisdictional inspection reports, or preventative maintenance.
- Review of plans which are sometimes as-built plans and other times recent construction plans.
- Take off quantities using plans and/or aerial photos.
- Coordination with division superintendent to perform site visits and provide "superintendent estimate sheet" detailing durations, labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor project needs.
- Independently costing out assigned jobs and drafting a written proposal.
- A.S. or B.S. Degree: Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or equivalent is preferred
- Basic math skills with understanding of material types used & labor/equipment resources.
- Some level of experience with civil construction or a background which could transfer easily, such as landscaping or hardscape.
- Ability to read and interpret construction civil drawings. Plan views and details/cross sections/profiles.
- Provide accurate take off quantities.
- Attention to detail and understanding critical importance of hitting due dates.
- Required familiarity with all MS programs. Mainly Outlook and Excel
- InEight software experience preferred but not required.
- Training will be provided in the use of BlueBeam (PDF), Salesforce (CRM), InEight (Bidding Software), PlanSwift (Take off Software).
