Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an inviting first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests while minimizing wait times.
- Take reservations over the phone or in person, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Assist guests with any inquiries about the menu or restaurant services.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and guest information.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on hospitality.
- Familiarity with food service operations, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Experience using POS systems, such as Aloha, is a plus but not required.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others create memorable dining experiences.
