What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teaching Positions position at Multi-Building?
Thank you for your interest in serving as a substitute teacher in the Selinsgrove Area School District.
In order to meet requirements of employment as a substitute teacher, the following items are required, prior to Board approval:
*A copy of your Professional Teaching Certificate issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (please note that Inactive and Voluntary Inactive Pennsylvania certificate holders may work for a total of 90 days per school year. However, a Type 06 Day-to-Day Substitute Emergency Permit is required when the individual is working outside of their certification content area.)
*Results of a current (less than 1-year-old) TB test (stick test).
*Results of a current (less than 5-years-old) Request for Criminal History Record Information (Act 34 Clearance). https://epatch.pa.gov
*Results of a current (less than 5-years-old) Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance form (Act 151).

*Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9) which needs to be completed and returned along with copies of document verification. www.uscis.gov/i-9
*All substitutes must complete the Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse On-Line Training and provide the certificate of completion. The link for the free training is: www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu.
*Act 168 Form (Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release). As a hiring school entity, we must require any substitutes to submit this form to all current employer(s) and to former employer(s) that were school entities and/or where the applicant had direct contact with children.
