Leasing Agent- Affordable Housing

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Leasing Agent with affordable housing experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Federal Fair Housing Laws & Guidelines (training provided) and be familiar with market rate leasing as well as LIHTC application processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Greet prospective residents, provide property tours, and respond promptly to inquiries with a focus on exceptional customer service.
• Leasing & Documentation: Process rental applications, prepare lease agreements, and maintain accurate resident files in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Fair Housing Compliance: Apply Federal Fair Housing Laws & Guidelines in all leasing practices; complete provided training to ensure full compliance.
• Market Rate & LIHTC Applications: Assist with market rate leasing activities and support the LIHTC application process, ensuring all documentation and procedures meet regulatory standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with property management and maintenance teams to address resident concerns and facilitate a smooth leasing experience.
• Reporting & Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records of leasing activities and prepare regular reports for management review.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in affordable housing leasing is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of Federal Fair Housing Laws & Guidelines; training will be provided as needed.
• Familiarity with market rate leasing and LIHTC applications is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software.

Preferred Certifications:

• COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist)
• C3P (Certified Compliance & Customer Service Professional)
• (Certifications are preferred but not required.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.11 - $21.19 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
