Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, reliable Legal Assistant to join our well-established, multi-attorney personal injury firm in the San Fernando Valley. Compensation package $65,000 - $75,000.

Legal Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Work directly with assigned attorney on all aspects of plaintiff personal injury pre-litigation files
• Manage pre-litigation files
• Regular contact with clients, insurance adjusters and health care providers
• Request medical records and billing
• Review Correspondence
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as fielding phone calls and scheduling meetings
• Maintain a detailed calendar
• Maintain and organize files; update files with case status and information

Legal Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

• 1 years of experience in pre-litigation as a personal injury legal assistant or legal secretary
• Familiarity with personal injury pre-litigation procedures and terminology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and organizational skills
