What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Helper position at Multi Packaging and Printing?
This position will be providing direct support to the production team: the Lamination Operator, Press Operator, Slitter Operators, Shipping and Receiving, and Plate Mounters. The production helper will also perform general maintenance around all production areas.
General Requirements: Describes the minimum education and experience, certifications, licenses, and skill sets needed to perform the job.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior work experience in manufacturing or production is a plus. Must be able to read and understand instructions. Demonstrates ability to work under pressure and within time constraints. Must have good hand/eye coordination and ability to read and use a tape measure.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Describes the mental and physical demands and working conditions needed to perform the job.
Ability to concentrate for extended period of time and to accurately handle extensive detail. Ability to effectively and professionally handle the stressful demands of a manufacturing environment and able to demonstrate problem solving skills. General physical tasks could be described as periodic lifting, bending twisting, walking, pushing, standing climbing and other physical functions necessary to accomplish the essential duties of the position. Lifting up to 75 pounds may be necessary. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, dust particles and/or fumes. Ability to multi-task. Effective communication in both written and verbal form. Able to work with others in a team environment while exercising effective interpersonal skills. Able to accept constructive criticism. Must have ability to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to change when necessary. Will be expected to comply with all company policies, safety, practices and standards of performance. Fast paced environment with multiple areas of responsibility.
This position allows you to have longer weekends so you can attend to your personal and family needs. The hours for production staff are Monday to Thursday 6am to 4:30pm - allowing for a 3 day weekend every week.
