Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating process. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using the POS system.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items and restaurant services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide assistance during busy periods to ensure all guests are attended to promptly.
- Uphold high standards of guest services in line with hotel and restaurant policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are essential for this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Proficiency with OpenTable and Resy reservation systems.
- Experience in hotel or restaurant settings will be beneficial for understanding guest relations dynamics.
