In your role as Store Manager, you will be part of our success by effectively, efficiently, and productively managing the retail store. This includes handling employment and personnel issues, merchandising, inventory control, strict financial management, and controlling loss prevention.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, hire, and train all new hire employees

Orientate each new hire on the basics of the facility and explain the training schedule
Motivate store employees - Enforce all corporate, local, state, and federal policies and procedures
- Create and maintain employee schedules
- Review timecards and employee schedules, ensure all shifts are covered
- Submit bi-weekly payroll information and check for accuracy (time cards, payroll changes, new hires, and terminations)
- Enforce progressive discipline policy with counseling sessions and written warnings when necessary.
- Conduct suspension and termination meetings when necessary
- Maintain various reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis (paid-outs, compliance books, sales reports, phone card report, and vendor log)
- Review and maintain inventory procedures
- Vendor/grocery ordering and review of invoicing
- Develop proper stocking and inventory procedures, and ensure the maintenance of these policies. Review sales lists to discuss with vendors
- Submit the lottery report
- Run bank deposits, pick up payroll checks, and conduct competitive price Surveys
- Compare gas readings to the TLS monitor
- Process price changes
- Review monthly reports for various tracking (c-store, cigarette, lottery, and gas sales)
- Review surveillance camera tapes and change tapes daily except for DVR receivers. Complete site walks inspection and checklist
- Check pumps, hoses, clips, tanks, and seals for the daily recovery book

Provide friendly and efficient customer service
Perform cashier and attendant duties when necessary - Other store duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- 3 or more years’ experience in a retail setting
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
- Strong decision-making skills and proven ability to manage complex situations
- Proficiency with computers
- Collaborative work style, able to partner with all personnel to drive overall site performance.

- A current Responsible Alcohol Training Card or TAM card must be obtained and renewed at your own expense by completing the required training through the Nevada Department of Taxation or an authorized provider.
Applicants are eligible to be hired without a current Responsible Alcohol Training Card or TAM card if they can show proof that they have taken the test and can show evidence of having done so with a temporary certificate while they await the original. The manager must be shown the original card within 2 weeks from the hire date and forward a copy of it to the HR Department to file in the employee’s personnel file.
