As a Direct-Write Lithography Engineer, you will be in a unique position to enable new applications with Multibeam’s next-generation electron beam writing system.
You will work with our engineering teams and customers to develop new applications and product capabilities. You will create and validate novel writing techniques and critical strategies for this innovative lithography platform. You will combine understanding of the system design and physics with computational methods to extend system performance. As a member of the Patterning Team, you will work closely with the rest of the company, customers, and external partners. The ideal candidate is independent, flexible, and enjoys working in a fast-paced and creative technical environment
DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
Multibeam is re-innovating e-beam lithography to enable cost-effective production of leading-edge semiconductors for advanced packaging, photonics, rapid prototyping, and other special applications.
It is the industry’s only maskless multi-column e-beam platform that offers full-wafer direct write patterning capabilities with fine resolution in a modular architecture that is optimized for scale. The fully automated system features multiple miniaturized e-beam delivery columns and advanced algorithms that enable precision patterning with fab-level productivity.
Innovated by patterning and wafer fab equipment experts, our solution makes patterns that are impossible, difficult, or too expensive for mask-based solutions, with breakthrough time-to-market advantages.

DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to customer sites (up to 50%)
- Lead projects aimed at developing and demonstrating new applications or capabilities for high-productivity e-beam lithography
- Plan and conduct e-beam lithography process experiments, analyze data, and report results
- Support development and testing of electron optics systems
- Understand and communicate customer requests or needs to internal engineering teams. Support development of new techniques, processes, software capabilities, or engineering projects to deliver new capabilities to customers.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare technical presentations for customer meetings
- General knowledge of semiconductor device manufacturing, especially patterning
- Ability to solve complex problems independently in a systematic manner
- Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Solid knowledge of inspection & metrology tool usage
- Intermediate/Advanced background with Python or other scripting/programming languages preferred
- Comfortable computationally manipulating 2D data, automating tasks, and controlling hardware
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor process & metrology equipment or similar hardware
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques, including DOE, SPC, and related software
- 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry; experience in lithography preferred
- Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Optics, or related fields
- Masters or PhD
