Behavioral Health Clinical Internship

Start Date : Throughout the year as arranged with program

Education : Engaged in Master’s degree program in a mental health related field

Time Commitment : 3 days / 20 hours per week for average duration of 9 months

Position Summary :

Provides clinical services to children, families, and / or adults using a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed model of care. The primary population that an intern is working with is dependent on those serviced within the program overseeing their internship.

Services to be provided include : individual, family and group therapy; treatment planning; case management; advocacy and collaboration with natural and professional supports; risk assessment and crisis intervention.

While individual intern lengths may vary, the minimum expectation per week is not negotiable.

Responsibilities :

• Maintains minimum schedule of 20 hours over at least three days per week, as well as attending all mandatory supervision and meetings for duration of internship over minimum commitment of 9 months.
• Provides direct clinical and case management services to clients at the appropriate intensity and duration, responsive to individual needs.
• Completes all clinical and administrative documentation in a timely, accurate manner.
• Participates in all required meetings and supervision sessions and performs other administrative tasks as required by Clinical Supervisor and Program Manager.
• By the end of the first two months of internship, meets minimum productivity expectation of 10 hours / week billable services (face-to-face contact, clinical phone contact).
