Position Summary
The Infection Prevention Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the MultiCare Health System Infection Prevention Program. This position is required to develop, analyze, and interpret a variety of information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates, requiring independent decision-making and analytical problem solving.
Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15 years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (preferred) or attainment of certification within three (3) years of hire
- Two (2) years experience in health care Two (2) years and current clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting
