Position Summary
The Clinical Director for Inpatient Social Work and Programming has administrative responsibility for the planning and direction of clinical, financial, and operational activities for assigned inpatient and residential units/facilities at MultiCare and Navos. The incumbent designs, facilitates and directs the delivery of care and service to customers including patients, staff, physicians, family members and community representatives; interprets and develops unit/department patient care standards, provisions of quality health services, resource allocation and fiscal management; directs operational activities around social work, therapies, and programing for assigned areas; defines and monitors the standards of practice; assures availability and appropriate utilization of needed human and material resources; supports collaboration within Patient Services and among other divisions and disciplines for desired patient outcomes; provides positive timely customer service, and participates in efforts to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, or other affiliate field required
- Master’s degree in Social Work required
- LICSW required
- Minimum ten (10) years recent clinical experience preferably in a mental health/psychiatry setting
- Inpatient hospital experience in a leadership role
- Minimum six (6) years of progressive experience in both a managerial and supervisory capacity
