The Major Gifts Officer II Grateful Patient & Family Program (GPFP) is responsible for developing a mutually-beneficial relationship between specialty care line leadership, care line providers, and MultiCare Foundations / Mary Bridge Children's Foundation to support Grateful Patient and Family Program at tertiary-level point of care and extending to all other points of care within MultiCare Health System to enhance philanthropy to support better care of patients and increased community wellness.
The Major Gifts Officer II is responsible for engaging and supporting physicians and other care providers in direct support of the program.
The Major Gifts Officer II is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of gifts of $10,000 or more from individuals in support of the mission of MultiCare Health System (MHS).
The Major Gifts Officer II works closely with others in a team-oriented approach to philanthropy, requiring a broad range of internal and external contacts to develop critical sustaining relationships, including care line clinical leaders and physicians, MultiCare Foundations leaders and major gift officers throughout the system, and donors.
The Major Gifts Officer II is responsible for developing cause/case expertise for assigned specialty care lines to raise funds through all Foundations in MultiCare Health System
Five (5) years professional experience in personal solicitation in fund-raising or like vocation such as personal banking or sales; or three (3) years professional experience in medical/pharma/health insurance sales
Experience with developing productive relationships with clinical professionals in a health care setting preferred
Experience with computerized databases for fund-raising, subscription, customer relational management (CRM), or membership purposes; Raiser's Edge preferred
BA/BS in business, communication, medical/clinical, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof or a safe driving record (which meets established MHS standards)
