Our campus serves as a vital hub, providing resources, housing, and support services to our families. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Worker to oversee the upkeep of our facilities and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the repair, upkeep, and general maintenance of our campus facilities. This role is essential to creating a functional and safe environment for the families we serve and the staff who support them. In addition, this position might be required to drive clients to appointments, help with apartment setup for new families and pick up donations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the campus, including plumbing, general landscaping needs, moving of office equipment, light carpentry, snow removal, painting, etc.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
- Oversee landscaping, lawn care, and general outdoor upkeep of the campus grounds.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage the maintenance inventory and order necessary supplies and tools.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance, facility management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Basic carpentry and handyman skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community.
