Position : Community / Home Based Skills Trainer Supervisor : Katelyn Lonczak
Location : Chicopee, MA Shift Available : Evenings / Weekends
Pay Rate : $15-$20 / hr.- Contingent on education and level of experience.
Responsibilities :
Seeking experienced individual interested in supporting an eighteen-year-old young man with autism to assist in making community connections, facilitate social engagement and maximize his independence in performing daily living skills. Candidate must be a self-starter, creative, enthusiastic and an effective communicator. Candidate will need to understand and implement Positive Behavioral Supports, work well with families and demonstrate good organizational skills. Candidate must be responsible, reliable, and patient.
Required Qualifications :
- Candidate must be able to pass a CORI and fingerprinting check
- Have reliable transportation and have a good driving record.
- Candidate must be 18 years or old and have direct experience working with individuals ages 6-22 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualification :
Requirements : Must have valid driver’s license & vehicle. Staff must be dependable.
Trainings : Provided as required.
