We’re building a high-performance operations team to scale with demand—and we’re looking for a Field Technician Supervisor to lead our frontline service and installation efforts.
About the Role:
As the Field Technician Supervisor, you’ll lead and support our team of field technicians across installations, service calls, and repairs. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of all fieldwork while serving as a point of contact for both internal teams and external vendors. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires technical knowledge, organizational skills, and experience managing cross-state vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage daily activities of field technicians, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of installations, service, and repairs.
• Coordinate job scheduling and technician routing for all projects.
• Perform field visits to support team members, troubleshoot issues, and oversee complex installs.
• Ensure compliance with Texas security regulations and maintain licensing requirements.
• Provide onboarding, technical training, and ongoing mentorship to field staff.
• Collaborate with out-of-state installation and service partners to maintain consistent standards and communication.
• Maintain close communication with customers and property staff during project execution.
• Provide accurate estimates for access control repairs using QuickBooks, in coordination with the operations and accounting teams.
• Enforce safety standards and conduct quality control inspections.
• Work closely with the operations and customer success teams to ensure smooth transitions between departments.
• Use Salesforce to manage job tracking, customer records, and field service coordination.
Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid Texas Private Security License (or be eligible and willing to obtain immediately).
• 5 years of experience in access control, low-voltage systems, or commercial security systems.
• 5 years of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or training role.
• Solid knowledge of access control hardware, wiring, controllers, and system configuration.
• Experience working with and managing out-of-state vendors or subcontractors.
• Familiarity with creating estimates, quotes, or invoices using QuickBooks Online.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; travel may be required.
Bonus Points:
• Experience in the multifamily housing industry.
• Familiarity with Gatewise access control systems.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Experience developing SOPs and technical training materials.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM/field management software.
